BSA Journey to Excellence

GOLD LEVEL TROOP

“Although Scouting has changed over the years, the ideals and aims have remained the same: character growth, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Scouting is updated periodically to keep pace with a changing world. It isn’t the same as it was on Brownsea Island in 1907, but the ideals are still based on principles that Baden-Powell had been taught as a boy.”…Boy Scouts of America.

Looking for a BSA Troop?

Troop 28 is a boy-led troop.  Our Scouts will be trained to be leaders.  Troop 28 emphasizes teamwork, camping and outdoor skills as tools to practice leadership skills Scouts will use as adults.  All boys age 11 to 17, in grades 6 – 12, are welcome to join us or to visit a meeting. Troop 28 has been providing boys and adults of Northeast Tarrant County with opportunities to learn, grow and experience the best of Scouting since 1928. The Troop is sponsored by the First United Methodist Church in Colleyville, TX.  Each spring, our Troop welcomes incoming area Webelos joining our Troop.  We are proud that we have a continuous history of new, experienced and senior scouts.
